The doctrine of – Faith.

What is faith?
(Hebrews 11:1 KJV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Without faith we cannot please God.
(Hebrews 11:6 KJV)
But without faith {it is} impossible to please {him}: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and {that} he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith purifies the heart.                                                                                               ( Acts 15:8-9 KJV)
And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

We are saved by grace through faith.                                                                         ( Eph 2:8-9 KJV)                                                                                                    For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (KJV)

Faith is not alone or just knowledge. Faith works. Faith works through love. We are saved by a saving faith which obeys God and works through love. Not by a faith alone. As James says “Faith without works is dead”.

We cannot separate repentance and faith, many people say just believe and leave out repentance. This is not biblical. Repent or perish.
