Is easy believism true?

There is nothing easy about believing, believing is the same as obeying. Not just a one time profession of faith as many like to preach today.

Jesus said – “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.” (Luke 8:21). This shows us that being a Christian which is a Disciple btw is more than just saying we believe. Its putting Gods word into practice, it is doing not just hearing or saying. “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.” (James  1:22). Those who say they believe but do not obey, put into practice or do are deceiving themselves as the word states. Believing and not obeying is a dead faith which saves no one. The written word of God tells us we must have a living faith that produces works(works of faith), so if someones faith does not have works and they are not obedient, you can be sure they do not have true saving faith. “By their fruits ye shall know them”.

Additional passages to read.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Matt 7:24)

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” (Luke 6:46).

God bless.
